What are the measurements of METROPOLE freestanding bathtubs?
Our freestanding bathtubs are manufactured in standard sizes of 170 × 80 cm and 150 × 75 cm, with an approximate height of 58 cm. The HUDSON model is available in both sizes, ideal for large bathrooms or renovations with limited space. Check each product page to see the exact size of the variant.
How is a freestanding bathtub installed?
The freestanding bathtub is placed freely in the center or next to a wall, without the need for tiling work on its sides. It only requires a water inlet and a drain in the floor. We recommend that a professional plumber install it to level the base and connect the trap correctly.
Weight and capacity
How much does a freestanding bathtub weigh and how much water does it hold?
Sanitary acrylic bathtubs are lightweight: the empty shell usually weighs between 35 and 45 kg, which facilitates transport and installation. Their capacity is around 240 liters in the 170 × 80 cm format. Make sure the floor slab and drain can support the weight of the water plus the user once filled.
Materials
What material are the bathtubs and shower trays made of?
METROPOLE bathtubs and shower trays are made of high-resistance white sanitary acrylic, reinforced with fiberglass. This material retains water heat, offers a smooth non-porous surface, and resists scratches and stains. The shower screens use 8 mm tempered safety glass.
CE marking and regulations
Do METROPOLE products have CE marking?
Yes. All our products comply with applicable European regulations and bear the CE marking. Acrylic shower trays are manufactured in accordance with standard EN 14527. Bathtubs, shower screens, and other parts comply with the safety and quality requirements demanded in the European Union. It is your guarantee of quality.
Cleaning and maintenance
How are acrylic bathtubs cleaned and maintained?
Clean acrylic with a soft cloth, lukewarm water, and neutral soap or a specific acrylic cleaner. Avoid abrasive products, metal scourers, and solvents, as they can scratch the surface. Rinse and dry after each use to prevent limescale. Minor scratches can be polished with an acrylic restoration kit.

Does the bathtub include a drain and trap?
Yes. Our bathtubs come with a drain system and trap included, ready to connect to your bathroom outlet. Depending on the model, the finish can be a Click-Clack drain or a concealed drain in brushed bronze. Check the product page for each product to confirm the type of drain supplied.
Difference between freestanding and semi-freestanding
What is the difference between a freestanding and a semi-freestanding bathtub?
A freestanding bathtub is installed away from the wall and is finished on all four sides, serving as a central piece in the bathroom. A semi-freestanding bathtub is placed against a wall on one of its sides, saving space and simplifying plumbing, while maintaining an elegant design. Models such as PALOMA, AQUA, and SERENO are semi-freestanding.
Shower tray installation
How is an acrylic shower tray installed?
The acrylic shower tray sits on a level surface with the correct slope towards the drain. It is connected to the trap valve and the perimeter is sealed with sanitary silicone. The ALBA models are extra-flat and non-slip; we recommend installation by a professional plumber.
Whirlpool maintenance
How is a whirlpool bathtub maintained?
After each bath, empty the tub and run a rinse cycle to clean the jet conduits. Periodically, perform a disinfection cycle with a specific cleaner for whirlpool systems. Clean the nozzles and acrylic with neutral soap. The VENEZIA incorporates a pump and jets that require this simple maintenance.

What warranty do METROPOLE products have?
All METROPOLE products come with the legal conformity warranty in force in Spain for consumer purchases. This covers manufacturing defects under normal use conditions. Keep your invoice as proof. If you detect any incident, contact us and we will manage the corresponding solution according to applicable regulations.
Delivery times and shipping to Spain
What are the delivery times and shipping to Spain?
We ship throughout mainland Spain. The usual delivery time is a few working days from order confirmation, depending on stock availability and destination area. You will receive a tracking number to locate your shipment. Check the product page for updated availability.
Returns
Can I return a product?
Yes.
