Orders, shipping and returns

What are the delivery times for Spain, France, Italy and Portugal?

Shipping is free for bathtubs and shower trays in Spain, France, Italy and Portugal. The usual timeframe is 3 to 5 working days in mainland Spain and 5 to 8 days in France, Italy and Portugal, from order confirmation and subject to stock availability and destination area. You will receive a tracking number to follow your shipment. Check the product page for current availability.

Can I return a product?

Yes. You have 14 days from receipt to withdraw from the purchase, provided the product is unused, in perfect condition and in its original packaging. Write to us at contact@metropole.es and our carrier will collect the product from your home; collection costs €59, payable by the customer. After 14 days, returns by withdrawal are no longer accepted, but your 3-year legal conformity guarantee remains valid against any defect.

What warranty do METROPOLE products have?

METROPOLE bathtubs include a 3-year warranty from delivery. If you wish, you can purchase a warranty extension for an additional cost. Check the options and conditions on each product page.

How can I contact METROPOLE?

The fastest way is our contact page. We advise you before you buy — measurements, installation, availability or technical questions — and provide support once your order has arrived.

Quality and safe buying

Do METROPOLE products carry CE marking?

Yes. All our products comply with applicable European regulations and carry the CE marking. Our shower trays in acrylic are manufactured to the EN 14527 standard. Bathtubs, shower screens and other pieces meet the safety and quality requirements set by the European Union. It is your guarantee of quality.

What material are the bathtubs and shower trays made of?

METROPOLE bathtubs and shower trays are made of high-strength white sanitary acrylic, reinforced with fibreglass. This material retains the water's heat, offers a smooth, non-porous surface and resists scratches and stains. Shower screens use 8 mm tempered safety glass.

Does the bathtub include a drain and siphon?

Yes. Our bathtubs are delivered with a drain and siphon system included, ready to connect to your bathroom's outlet. Depending on the model, the finish may be a Click-Clac waste or a concealed brushed-bronze waste. Check each product page to confirm the type of drain supplied.

Do you offer an installation service?

We do not offer our own installation service: we recommend hiring a professional plumber. In our guides we detail what each product requires (water connections, drainage, levelling and sealing) so you can assess the job before you buy.

About our products

What sizes do METROPOLE freestanding bathtubs come in?

We work with the most requested formats: 170 × 80 cm and 150 × 75 cm. You'll find the full detail in our sizes and measurements guide and on each product page.

Freestanding or semi-freestanding bathtub: which suits me?

A freestanding tub is finished on all four sides and needs space around it; a semi-freestanding tub rests one flat side against the wall, making better use of medium-sized bathrooms. We explain it in full in our freestanding bathtubs guide, and you can see the models in semi-freestanding bathtubs.

What do I need to install a freestanding bathtub?

An accessible water supply and drain, a level floor and sealing of the base; this is a job for a professional plumber. The requirements by bathtub type are in our guide to choosing a freestanding bathtub.

How do you clean acrylic bathtubs?

With neutral soap, warm water and a soft sponge; never abrasives, acetone or concentrated bleach. The full method — limescale, yellow stains and scratches — is in our guide to cleaning an acrylic bathtub.

How do you maintain a hydromassage bathtub?

Besides the acrylic surface, it's worth running a cleaning cycle through the jet circuit once a month. The step-by-step is in our cleaning guide and our hydromassage guide.

How do I choose the right shower tray?

Measure the available space and choose the largest size that fits, always with a non-slip finish. We guide you step by step in how to choose a shower tray.

How much does a freestanding bathtub weigh and how much water does it hold?

Sanitary acrylic bathtubs are light: the empty shell usually weighs between 35 and 45 kg, which makes transport and installation easier. Capacity is around 240 litres in the 170 × 80 cm format. Make sure your floor structure and drain can support the weight of the water plus the user once full.
